It can be tricky but usually it's a lot of fun.  There are techniques and tools to help squeeze a long message into half a minute or so.

I have training and experience which has allowed me to help advertisers of many brands of high-end products and luxury services from automotive through hospitality all the way to chocolate!

4 - Leave it to me

Let me have:

•  your script

•  your notes on direction, feeling and pace

•  the visuals / placeholder video

•  the music / placeholder music

and I will record in my own studio.  I'll record a number of different takes and send the best ones to you for your engineer to edit and add to you ad!

Or I can edit together my favourite 2 takes and send them "Ready to use" for a small additional rate.

I normally turn around a 30s video ad within 24h - but I'm also happy to deliver asap the same day if you're tight for time.

The more notes on direction and tone of voice the better... don't hold back!

It's also incredibly useful to have any music or stand-in track you are using (although I realise this isn't always possible).

Rates

I am still trying to figure out a way to explain how Video / TV advertising fees work without making myself fall into a very deep sleep.

Perhaps by the time I get to re-typing my Pricing page I'll have figured it out?

In a nutshell you pay for 2 things:

•  THE RECORDING SESSION (& edit if applicable)

This is based on an hourly "Basic Session Fee" (or BSF), minimum 1h.

Editing (where applicable) is charged at a much lower hourly rate, minimum 0.5h

•  THE LICENCE TO USE THE AUDIO

• Let me have your purchased TVRs, Regions, purchased Impressions (or clicks) and I can quickly send you an estimate with your usage requirements factored in.

You may find these websites helpful:

• If it's Online and you don't have those figures then I can also help you with an estimate, however, you may end up paying more than you have to.

This usually based on 1 x BSF per 3 mo.

• If its for Organic (non-paid) online use then I charge a use fee of 1 x BSF per year which covers up to three online platforms (eg. client website, YouTube, Instagram).

• I can also give you a price for longer periods than 1 year (or in perpetuity)

but, again, you may end up paying for time you don't need
